Re: Cardiac Inherited Disease Registry Cyber Security Incident

Thank you for checking the site to find out more about the recently publicised cyber security incident that has impacted access to the Cardiac Inherited Disease Registry.

What we know so far

An IT service provider we work with has experienced a cyber security incident which has affected access to some information that we hold. This includes some records related to the Cardiac Inherited Disease Registry, which are currently inaccessible.

There is no evidence at this stage that our information has been subject to unauthorised access or download. Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand is working with the IT service provider, Police and cyber security experts to understand the full extent of this incident and to resolve this as soon as possible.

We can assure you that the usual systems of the health service for appointments and all information for your ongoing clinical care have not been affected.
